Environmental compliance
Commercial printing operations using solvent-based inks must comply with the
Austrian VOC Emissions Directive (VOC-Anlagen-Verordnung). Waste disposal
of used chemicals and inks is subject to the Waste Management Act (AWG).
A separate environmental permit may be required depending on production volume.

Drucker is a regulated trade under §94 Z.13 of the Austrian Trade Act (GewO 1994). The standard route is the qualification exam (befähigungsprüfung).
